Getting started
What can I log?
Three things: Fed, Walked and Meds. One tap logs it, and it shows who did it and when.
Pawhold does not keep vet records or medication schedules in this version. It is a simple, shared check-in.
Does it work for my pet?
Yes. Pawhold works for cats, dogs and any other pet you care for.
How do the photo cutouts work?
Choose a photo of your pet and Pawhold finds your pet's edges to make a cutout. This happens on your phone.
The cutout goes onto your pet's collectible cards. The frames and stickers are drawn by the app.
The photos you choose are stored so everyone in your household sees the same pet. Photos you stop using are removed from our servers.
How do I use the widget and the Apple Watch?
- Press and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen.
- Tap Edit, then Add Widget.
- Find Pawhold and pick a size.
The buttons on the widget log care without opening the app. On your Apple Watch, open Pawhold for a quick-log.
What are the streaks and cards?
When your household keeps up the care, you earn collectible cards made from your own pet's photo. They are a treat, not a test.
If a day goes by without a log, nothing is taken away. Your history is always kept.
Your household
How do I invite someone?
Open your pet and choose to invite a caregiver. You can send a link, or read out the six-letter code.
Free households have up to two caregivers. Plus has no limit.
How does someone join with a code?
If they have Pawhold, they choose to join a household and type the six letters and numbers. Capitals do not matter.
If they tap your link, the app opens and shows them the invite. If the invite has expired, send a fresh one.
What does everyone in the household see?
Everyone sees each person's name, every care log, and your pet's photos and cards. A note like "Miso was fed by Sam at 8:02" reaches the others when someone logs.
You can choose which notes you would like on your own phone.
Do the people I invite need to sign in or pay?
No. They join free and never see a sign-in screen or a paywall.
How do I leave a household or remove someone?
You can leave a household from its settings. The person who started the household can also remove someone.
If you need to, you can block someone from the household screen so they can no longer see or reach you.
Plus, items and your account
What is free, and what does Plus add?
Free gives you one pet, two caregivers, the care log, widgets and the Apple Watch app.
Plus adds unlimited pets and caregivers, your full history, premium card frames and a free item pick every month. It costs $2.99 a month, $24.99 a year, or $39.99 once.
Will a free limit delete my history?
Never. If you go over a free limit, your history stays safe. You may just need Plus to add more.
What are frame packs, and can I give one as a gift?
Frame packs give your cards new looks, and cost between $0.99 and $2.99. They are separate from Plus.
You can send a pack to a friend as a gift.
I got a new phone. How do I get my purchases back?
Open Settings in Pawhold and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
If you chose to sign in with Apple, your pets and household come back too.
How do I cancel Plus?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Pawhold Plus. Tap Cancel Subscription.
If you bought Plus once, there is nothing to cancel. You keep it.
Do I need an account? Where does my data go?
An account with no email or password is made for you the first time you open the app. Signing in with Apple is optional, and it helps keep your household safe if you change phones.

How do I delete my account?
Open Settings in Pawhold and choose Delete Account. There are no ads and no AI art anywhere in the app.
